The Tuscany Earrings were inspired from Pavit Gujral's trip to Italy in 2019 where she was awed by the beauty of the Tuscan region. The earrings have been set in 18K White and Rose Gold with bicolored Tourmaline, Tourmaline Briolette's, Tahitian Pearls, Diamond Baguettes, Diamond Beads and Round Brilliant Diamonds. Pearls depict sun surrounded by Diamond baguettes, beads and rounds brilliants as rays. Bicolored Tourmaline has been handpicked by the designer, keeping in mind the Tuscan colors, surrounded by Brown Diamonds road that is flanked by the iconic Cypress Trees of Tuscany in rose gold.

Production Technology
The process starts with rendering of a sketch. Once the sketch is finalized, we start preparing the CAD drawing for the piece to finalize the shape and the technicalities of the materials involved e.g. number and size of stones, amount of gold, the setting etc. Once the CAD is finalised, the piece is casted into 18K Gold and the stone setting process starts. Each stone is set by hand and filed for finishing. After the setting is complete, the piece goes into polishing and final fitting for the perfect look.
Design Challenge
Firstly, making such a longe earring light and comfortable to wear, is a challenge. Each stone was chosen keeping in mind the weight of the stones and gold. Secondly, getting together so many different shapes of diamonds and procuring diamond beads was a challenge that we successfully overcame.
Project Duration
October 2021, Italy - January 2022, Jaipur, India.
Operation Flow
Even though the earrings are 100mm long, they flow very well. They are super light and create a beautiful movement and sparkle whenever worn.
Research
The piece is inspired by the topography of the Tuscan region of Italy. The colors and landscape of the region and the famous quote "Under the Tuscan Sun" are the inspiration behind the piece.
Inspiration
The Tuscany Earrings have been inspired from my summer 2018 trip to Italy where I fell in love with the country & especially the pastel greens & reds of its Tuscany countryside. The Pearls depict the sun surrounded by Diamond baguettes, beads & rounds brilliants as rays. The bi-colored Tourmaline has been handpicked keeping in mind the Tuscan colors, surrounded by the Brown Diamonds road that is flanked by the iconic Cypress Tress of Tuscany in rose gold. The Diamond beads and round brilliants are the occasional rain droplets that fall on the reddish brown roads of Tuscany.
Project Overview
Tuscany Earrings Fine Jewelry has been a Bronze winner in the Jewelry Design award category in the year 2022 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Bronze A' Design Award is given to outstanding designs that showcase a high degree of creativity and practicality. It recognizes the dedication and skill of designers who produce work that stands out for its thoughtful development and innovative use of materials and technology. These designs are acknowledged for their professional execution and potential to influence industry standards positively. Winning this award highlights the designer's ability to blend form and function effectively, offering solutions that enhance people's lives and wellbeing.
