The Yakobium Bow Tie is robust but lightweight and can easily be worn to any occasion. Shape, color, size as the rest of the item can be customized. The sandstone bow tie is complemented by handmade packaging.

Unique Properties
The Yakobium sandstone bow tie is unmatched, and without our novel technological process, it cannot and has never been created before. The structure mimics natural rock formation, and every single bow tie is unique since it is finalized by hand. Complemented by hand made packaging.

Production Technology
Production includes sketching, 3d modeling, 3d printing, CNC milling, handicraft, and finishing. Also including colorization and lamp production.
Design Challenge
Inventing the technological process, so the sculpture was firm to the required shape and still with the original artwork reminiscent of rock formations.
Project Duration
The project started in 2012 with a sandstone illuminated sculpture prototype. In 2019, a special edition of bow ties has been created to make a wearable product to be accessible to masses.
Operation Flow
The bow tie sculpture can be worn like any other bow tie on the market. It has an adjustable, pre-tied band that fits almost any neck. It has an awesome nature-like feeling in touch. The small sand particles do shine and reflect light.
Research
The research behind this object was to develop an innovative process to create well-balanced art resembling the inspiration from the Bohemian Paradise rock formations while the end product was sturdy but a lightweight. Also, a lot of research went into the finishing and possible customizations such as size, color, and hand-made packaging.
Inspiration
The exclusive structure of the Yakobium sandstone bow tie is inspired by Bohemian Paradise in the Czech Republic and its unique rock formations. Since the site and the rock formations are marked as national heritage, crafting an object of this unique piece of nature is out of the question. So, with our unique technological process, everyone can enjoy the unique structures without harming nature. The inspiration comes from visits to the national heritage site.
